It seemed like a perfect world for scientists back then. Everyone aspired to be a scientist and excel and contribute in something. The environment was perfect. There were almost no problems to practice science and collect knowledge. For centuries, the Islamic Empire was the beacon of science and knowledge in the world. But as we’ve seen so far in our story, nothing can last forever especially if it is a good thing. ‘The Abyss’ was there waiting for a chance to attack and destroy as always.

Again son, the love for power had major consequences and threw a great civilization away. This closed another chapter in our story as we are moving closer and closer to the end.

Even kings were naming themselves on his name as an indication that they are the medium between him and the people. The Mayans started developing on their knowledge. They developed their own advanced numerical system. They build a lot of great pyramids and other monuments. But among all, they were distinguished in astronomy. They studied the sky a lot. They studied the movements of bodies in the sky. By the time, astronomy became complex enough that not any Mayan could study it. And that when ‘The Abyss’ came back.

Chapter 13 (Mathematics Birth)

By the fall of Mycenaean Greece, the Greeks lived what we call ‘The Greek Dark Ages’ from 1100 – 800 BC. Why did we call it the dark ages? Well, no more monumental buildings were built, no more art, no more writing, no trade, all the towns were abandoned, the population was reduced and the government and army system disappeared. It was really dark back then and it seemed that everyone were on their own.

But you know what they say, every darkness must be followed by light. And here we start our new story.

Hi everyone, I know that you maybe a little disappointed by this choice, right? Some will say it is not really an invention to be excited to read its story. Alright, for the letter “M” I had lots of great inventions to talk about such as Magnets, Microchip, Microprocessor, Microscope, Mobile phones, Microwave, Missiles, Mirrors, Money, Morse Codes, … etc. But, I as I thought about it I found out that there are “M” discoveries that too important to look away. When I thought of that I found three major discoveries in our history with such magnitude: Mathematics, Music and Medicine. So, I went for the greatest discovery of all times, the most important science in the universe, the best miracle of God and the mother of every science that ever or will be existed.
